We will continue on quadratic equations this week.  We will start a new activity on Wednesday, and introduce the project this week.

Algebra 2

Time to get readyt for SLCs!  They will be on Wednesday (3/30).  Think about your strengths in math class (content and study skills), as well as areas that need improvement.  You will also need to outline an action plan for improvement that will include a habit of heart and mind, or a 21st century skill.  The plan should also outline how you will hold yourself accountable.  Be ready on Monday to write this out and discuss it.

6.3 due monday.

6.4 will be assigned Monday and will be due Wednesday.

Be ready for a quiz on Wednesday.

Algebra 1 assignmetns and activities

Let's get ready for SLCs on Wednesday (3/30).  On Monday we will make our note cards that will outline strengths in math, and also areas of improvement and action plans. 

Due by Monday are the parabola worksheets.

Next week we will continue our exploration into parabolas and quadratic equations.

Algebra 2

Study hard for the test this Wednesday!  Test corrections (from chapter 4 test) are due on Friday and we will have class time to work on that Thursday and Friday.  Check with me for project ideas, I have a few written now.  Thanks for all your hard work!

Syllabus

Algebra 1 & 2 Syllabus

E-mail:
Office Hours: Mon, Tue, Thur at lunch; Thur 3:15 – 4:00. Also by appointment made at least a day in advance.
Grading:  80% for graded work and 20% for completion work.
Test Corrections:  You may earn up to 50% credit on missed points for tests and quizzes if you turn in test corrections within 3 days of getting a test back. 
Late work policy:  I will follow Animas High school’s policy, which states that work will be accepted up to 2 days late for 50% credit only.  If you need an extension for work, arrangements should be made with me at more than a day in advance, or unless you are absent.
Absent policy:  If you miss class, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed and make arrangements with me to make-up any work.
Preparation:  Please come to class everyday prepared with book, notebook, pencil, ruler, and graph paper.  Please check the board upon arriving to class for agenda, warm-ups, or homework answers.  Homework will be checked for completion, but you must check your own answers and be ready for questions.
Extra Credit:  I will have a few extra-credit options available this semester, but you may receive extra-credit only if you have turned in all assignments. (You may do extra credit if you are missing only one assignment with teacher’s permission)
